Data we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, farm or organisation name, crop and plot details you choose to share, message content, and correspondence needed to prepare estimates or deliver reports. Server logs may include IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Cookie data is described on our cookies page.
Purposes
We use personal data to respond to estimate requests, deliver commissioned work, issue invoices, improve site reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Legal bases
Where Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance applies, we process data for purposes directly related to our functions and activities, with notification of purpose at or before collection where practicable. Contract performance and legitimate operational needs also support processing for engaged clients.
Retention
Inquiry messages without an engagement are typically retained up to 24 months. Engagement files, including reports and source materials you asked us to keep, are retained for up to seven years for accounting and professional reference unless a longer period is required by law or agreed in writing. Cookie preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear them.
Processors and international transfers
We may use email, hosting, or analytics providers that process data outside Hong Kong. When we do, we take reasonable steps to ensure transfers are protected through appropriate contractual and technical measures. Farm records shared for reporting stay limited to people and processors needed to deliver the engagement.
Your rights
You may request access to and correction of your personal data held by us, and you may ask us to cease using data for direct marketing if we ever conduct it (we currently do not). Security
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small professional practice. No transmission method is perfectly secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive identifiers through the contact form.
Children
Our services are directed to adult farm and business contacts. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
